Keylor Navas hints at Real Madrid exit?

The latest social media post of Real Madrid’s understudy goalkeeper Keylor Navas has hinted he will be leaving the club, according to Spanish media.

The Costa Rican posted a photo of him along with the club’s fans at a training session, alongside a caption ‘Thanks for everything’, which has been construed as a hint at his own future.

The former Levante number one has dropped behind summer signing Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at the club and is now limited to playing in the Copa del Rey.

The former Chelsea shot-stopper is now the undisputed number one both in La Liga and in Europe for Santiago Solari’s side.

Navas was highly rated by Zinedine Zidane while Julen Lopetegui played him in European competition but under Solari he has fallen further from prominence.

The Costa Rican shot-stopper was Madrid first choice goalkeeper in each of Zidane’s three seasons at the helm, winning as many Champions Leagues, but the arrival of Courtois has seen him lose his place.

The 31-year-old was set to join Manchester United on the final day of the 2015 summer transfer window, with David de Gea going the other way, but the paperwork did not go through in time.
