Jesus Vallejo has ‘no plans’ to leave Real Madrid

Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo will not leave the club in January despite a lack of playing time, his agent Jeronimo Suarez has confirmed.

The 21-year-old has played just twice this season and not at all in La Liga, with youth graduate Javi Sanchez preferred even with the club’s injury crisis.

“Real Madrid have never told us of any intention to loan him out or sell him – they always say they are very happy with him and that he fits perfectly with the squad,” Suarez told ESPN FC.

“And Jesus is delighted at Real Madrid. His relationship with Solari is excellent, he is a very good pro, super disciplined in what he does and a very responsible guy.

“He has no intention of leaving and knows he must have patience, that there is a lot of competition for places and he must wait for his moment to come.”

Vallejo was brought into the first-team squad at Madrid last season, making 12 appearances following a previous loan stints at Real Zaragoza and Eintracht Frankfurt.
