Report: Keylor Navas ready to leave Real Madrid

Keylor Navas is reportedly ready to leave Real Madrid for a Premier League club.

According to AS, Navas is ‘upset’ with playing second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois and the Premier League ‘most interests him’ as his next destination.

The newspaper explains the Costa Rican’s camp have been engineering a move to England ‘for several weeks’.

The 31-year-old was set to join Manchester United on the final day of the 2015 summer transfer window, with David de Gea going the other way, but the paperwork did not go through in time.

Navas was Madrid No 1 in each of Zinedine Zidane’s three seasons at the helm, winning as many Champions Leagues, but the arrival of Courtois has seen him lose his place.

Furthermore, AS claims Los Blancos have high hopes for young shot-stopper Andriy Lunin when he returns from his loan spell at Leganes.

In the meantime, the capital giants would ‘understand his frustrations and let him leave at the end of the season’, while a ‘convincing’ offer could see him depart in January.
