Bayern Munich ‘join the race’ for Real Madrid’s Isco

Bayern Munich have joined Manchester City and Juventus in the race to sign Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to reports in Spain.

The 26-year-old captained Madrid in their Copa del Rey clash against Melilla on Thursday but had not started any of the previous seven matches under boss Santiago Solari.

Don Diario reports Bayern are the latest major European club to express an interest in the former Malaga star who is increasingly finding game-time restricted in Madrid.

The Spain international was excluded altogether from the matchday squad of last week’s Champions League trip to Roma, days after he had reportedly refused to shake the hand of Solari after a league loss at Eibar.

The Spain international has not started a league match for the European champions since October’s 5-1 El Clasico defeat against Barcelona – Julen Lopetegui’s final game in charge.
