Real Madrid ‘discontinue’ Neymar pursuit – Cadena Cope

Real Madrid have discontinued their long-term interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar, according to Cadena Cope.

The report says Madrid president Florentino Perez does not believe there is the sufficient motivation within the club and the fans to land the forward, considering the economic cost of any move.

Perez is said to be more infatuated with the idea of signing the former Barcelona forward’s current teammate Kylian Mbappe, who they believe would fit their team.

Neymar has been linked with a return to Barca in future weeks but this latest report indicates a move to their fierce rivals in Madrid is increasingly unlikely.
