Sevilla look to re-sign Vicente Iborra from Leicester

Sevilla are looking into the possibility of resigning midfielder Vicente Iborra, whom they sold to Leicester City last summer.

Coach Pablo Machin and the Sevilla squad are said by Marca to have given their approval to the transfer with the club expected to launch a fresh approach in January.

Leicester are said to have demanded €15m for a transfer in summer, thus killing a potential deal, but a lack of playing time in England may have reduced that significantly.

The 30-year-old has endured an extreme lack of playing time at the Foxes, making just four league appearances – only one of which was a start – from a possible 12.

With all the green lights required for an approach now given, the Andalusian club are expected to launch a bid for the player who helped them to three successive Europa League titles in January.
