Milan have made contact with the agents of Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas and are aiming for a January transfer, claim Diario AS.
The Spanish midfielder has yet to start in any of the West London club’s 12 Premier League matches to date this campaign, appearing as a substitute just three times – totalling 48 minutes.
Leonardo, general director of Milan, is said to want to come to a speedy conclusion for the deal and due to the former Barcelona midfielder being out of contract in June, any deal would be a cut-price one.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder has fallen down the pecking order in West London following the summer arrivals of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic – the latter on loan from Real Madrid.
Atletico Madrid had previously been linked to the 31-year-old.
