Athletic Club Bilbao forward Iker Muniain has emerged as a potential transfer target for Liverpool, according to reports.
The 25-year-old is out of contract in Bilbao – where he has played his entire career – at the end of the current campaign and there are suggestions he may seek pastures new.
El Gol Digital reports on the situation, which emerged firstly in Marca earlier this week, that Muniain could move on after 357 first-team appearances at Athletic.
However, the same report on the website claims Xherdan Shaqiri could be sold by Liverpool in order to make room for the one-time Spain international.
Real Betis are said to be interested in the Swiss wide-man, who has impressed in the early months of his Anfield career despite not being a regular starter.
