Milan trio absent for Real Betis clash

Milan will be without three first-team players for the visit of Real Betis on Thursday in the Europa League group stage.

Ignazio Abate, Mateo Musacchio and Hakan Calhanoglu have all been ruled out for the Rossoneri for the clash, which could prove key to qualification in the group.

Both sides are favourites to progress from a group which also includes Greek giants Olympiakos and Luxembourg outfit Dudelange, with Milan sitting pretty on six points after two games and Betis with four.

Former Villarreal central defender Musacchio has started eight league games for Gennaro Gattuso’s side this season with Calhanoglu starting seven and Abate involved in four.

The match gets underway at 5.55pm GMT (UK time) and 6.55pm CEST (local time), with 6,000 travelling fans from Seville expected.
