Barcelona CEO Oscar Grau insists the club have ‘complete confidence’ in Coach Ernesto Valverde.
Valverde’s position has come under scrutiny after three games without a win, among them a defeat to La Liga’s bottom club Leganes.
However, speaking on the day Barca’s budget confirmed them as the world’s highest-earning team, Grau assured: “We have complete confidence in Valverde and the season is very long.
“We’re confident that our objectives will be achieved. This budget doesn’t account for any signings in January, but we’d look at any requests with understanding. We won’t close any doors.
“We have the best player in the world and I’m proud to have him as a Cule. Leo has been here all his life and I want him to stay here for life.
“He feels at home here and it’s difficult to separate us, although there are many people would like to do that.”
