Roma Coach Eusebio Di Francesco believes Real Madrid ‘have more quality on the ball’ since Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit to Juventus.
The Italian will lead his side against the European champions in the Champions League this midweek and was speaking to the Spanish press ahead of the game.
“The results during the first few weeks of the season show that they are still strong,” Di Francesco replied in an interview with Diario AS when asked how Ronaldo’s exit would impact Madrid.
“Now, they have more quality on the ball; they make fewer errors and they have many leaders. They are a team with very good players who are the core of the Spanish national team.
“Zinedine Zidane? What he did was extraordinary. I loved his level-headedness and how he conducted himself, including in his exit.
“He was my favourite ever midfielder and my idol, who also proved to be a great Coach who was very popular.
“Under Lopetegui, I see a team who are more consistent with greater organisation.
“Marco Asensio? I can see him winning the Ballon d’Or, his talent is incredible.”
