Madrid monitor City’s Brahim Diaz

Real Madrid are monitoring the situation of Manchester City teenager Brahim Diaz, who may seek a transfer over lack of game-time, say reports.

The Evening Standard in England states the Spaniard, who joined City’s youth system from Malaga in 2013, could move on in the next year if he is not given more first-team opportunities.

Diario AS reports Madrid’s interest in the 19-year-old and cites comments the player made to El Mundo Deportivo two months ago.

“My ambition is to play as much as I can, the more minutes you get the better you will be,” Diaz said.

10 of the midfielder’s 12 first-team appearances for City came last season while he played the final 15 minutes in August’s Community Shield victory over Chelsea.
