Atletico Madrid have suffered an injury scare with Colombian full-back Santiago Arias returning from international duty after a rib injury.
The summer signing from PSV Eindhoven has picked up an inflammation to his rib cartilage in Friday’s match against Venezuela and will now not face Argentina this week.
The 26-year-old had appeared to be poised for a run in Atleti’s first-team after an injury to Juanfran and suspension for Stefan Savic.
It is yet unclear how long Arias will be unavailable for, although Marca say Jose Maria Gimenez or Thomas Partey could deputise in the position for the weekend clash with Eibar.
