The captain of Real Madrid’s Castilla team Jose Leon Bernal will join Rayo Vallecano for the next two seasons, say Marca.
The 23-year-old has spent 14 years at Madrid, progressing through the club’s youth academy before establishing himself at the Segunda B side.
Equally adept in central defence or a deep-lying midfield role, Leon looks set to become the latest addition to Rayo following moves for Alvaro Garcia and Raul de Tomas.
The player was formerly capped by Spain’s Under-19 side.
