Barca’s Alcacer set for Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have struck a deal to sign Barcelona’s Paco Alcacer on a loan deal with an option to buy, say multiple reports.

A range of Catalan media outlets including Diario Sport, El Mundo Deportivo and RAC1 say a deal has been struck to allow the striker to join the German giants.

Alcacer was left out of Barca’s matchday squad for the clash with Alaves on Saturday and has also been linked with a move to FC Porto and Real Betis.

The 24-year-old joined the Catalan giants on a five-year contract from Valencia in 2016 in a €30m deal but has struggled for game time since, scoring 15 times in 50 appearances.

The striker, who has netted six goals in 13 caps for his nation, has also been linked with Valencia and Watford this summer, and looks certain to exit the Camp Nou before the transfer window closes for Spanish clubs on 31 August.
