Bacca to Villarreal as Castillejo exits

Milan and Villarreal are closing in on a deal which will take Samu Castillejo to Serie A with Carlos Bacca (pictured) joining the Yellow Submarine permanently.

The Colombian international spent last season on loan at the Estadio Ceramica, where he netted 15 La Liga goals in just 30 starts.

A Bola say Lisbon-based Sporting CP have agreed a season-long loan deal with an option to sign the former Sevilla striker, but he is holding off on a return to Spain.

Castillejo, 23, has been identified by the Rossoneri as their next primary transfer objective in a summer in which they continue to reshape their squad.

Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta dello Sport say there is a bid of €18m on the table plus striker Carlos Bacca, who spent last season on loan at Villarreal.

A vibrant attack-minded player who is often deployed wide, he joined the Europa League regulars from Malaga in 2015 and has made 127 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals.

Last season, Castillejo six goals with eight assists in 38 competitive games for Villarreal and earlier this month was linked with a move to Sevilla.
