Madrid’s long-term Fede Valverde plan

Real Madrid have no plans to sell midfielder Fede Valverde and see him as playing a key part in the future of the club, say Diario AS.

The 20-year-old, who joined Madrid from Penarol in a €5m deal in 2015, spent last season on loan at Deportivo who have stated they would be interested in renewing that deal despite their relegation.

However, this fresh report claims the European champions envisage the Uruguayan as being loaned to another club in Spain’s top flight and believe he will be in their first-team squad in future campaigns.

“Debuting with Madrid is spectacular,” Valverde told reporters after starting Madrid’s first pre-season match against Manchester United.

The midfielder played 24 La Liga games last season, starting 12.
