Aleix Vidal has officially returned to Sevilla from Barcelona in a deal worth a reported €8.5m plus bonuses.
A statement on Sevilla’s official website confirms Vidal will sign a four-year contract with the club once he has passed a medical, which should be a formality.
Indeed, Marca reports the 28-year-old arrived in Andalusia on Saturday morning to complete his transfer.
The Catalan joined Barca for €18m plus bonuses in the summer of 2015 but did not make his debut until the following January due to a registration ban.
Despite making just 49 appearances in that time, he won eight trophies at Camp Nou and moves back to Sevilla after winning the Europa League with them during the 2014-15 campaign.
