Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has hailed the impact of new Coach Julen Lopetegui and admits playing under him ‘is a joy’.
The right-back starred under Lopetegui for the Spanish national team and he is optimistic this success can be replicated at the Bernabeu this season.
“Playing under Lopetegui is always a joy,” Carvajal explained on El Grafico, as cited by Diario AS.
“He is a Coach who aims to get the most out of every individual player and I like his ideas of playing, he has a lot of potential for this job.
“The team spirit right now is really good and that is essential for success, it feels like a family and we all fight for each other.
“There is always intense pressure at this club but the atmosphere right now is great and we have the foundations for success.”
