Sevilla look to Chelsea’s Bakayoko

Sevilla are prioritising a move for out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko should Steven N’Zonzi complete his anticipated exit, say reports.

Marca say Los Rojiblancos have identified the Frenchman as an ideal candidate to replace N’Zonzi, who is being strongly linked to Arsenal, Barcelona and Roma.

Earlier this month, ABC de Sevilla reported the Andalusian club’s interest in the 23-year-old, who started 34 matches in central midfield for the Blues last season.

The Paris-born midfielder moved to Stamford Bridge last summer from Monaco in a reported €40m deal but could be set for an early exit following an underwhelming campaign.

There is no indication that a bid has been lodged by Sevilla but it is thought the FA Cup holders could be willing to sanction an exit this summer.

Indications are that the Spanish club could only facilitate a loan move, but an exit for N’Zonzi could change the situation.
