Rayo Vallecano have completed the season-long loan signing of Peruvian international Luis Advincula from Mexican club Tigres.
The 28-year-old can operate on either flank but his preferred position is right-back with his deal to the Madrid-based club including an option to buy on a permanent basis.
Advincula has previous experience of playing in Europe across stints in Ukraine, Portugal, Turkey and Germany but more recently has played in Argentina and Mexico across Newell’s Old Boys, Tigres and Lobos BUAP.
Capped 69 times by the Peruvian national team, for whom he starred at this summer’s World Cup, he was pronounced the fastest player in the world earlier this year.
Advincula was clocked as running at 36.15 Km/h against Chivas, breaking Gareth Bale’s previous record of 35.7 Km/h.
