Leganes are closing in on the signing of Barcelona striker Jose Arnaiz in a deal reported to be in the region of €6m.
The 23-year-old signed for the Catalan giants last year when they signed him from La Liga 123 outfit Real Valladolid in a €3.4m deal.
In June, Barca refuted claims from Getafe president Angel Torres that Los Azulones had ‘closed’ the signing of the striker but they are set to sanction a summer departure.
Onda Cero report Getafe still hold an interest but it is there south-Madrid based rivals who appears more likely of a deal.
The striker played five matches for Barca last season and netted three goals – all in the Copa del Rey – while he has mainly featured for Barca B.
Arnaiz is thought to be open to a move which would likely see him gain more first-team football.
