Atletico Madrid will complete the signing of PSV Eindhoven defender and Colombian international Santiago Arias, say press reports.
Multiple reports including from transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio say the 26-year-old will join Los Rojiblancos as a direct replacement for Inter-bound Sime Vrsaljko.
Predominantly a right-back, Arias has played in the first team of the Dutch giants for the past five seasons and impressed during this summer’s World Cup for Colombia.
Napoli had been reported to be favourites for the defender but it appears he will instead link-up with Diego Simeone’s side.
