Atletico Madrid have reportedly agreed to the transfer of defender Sime Vrsaljko to Inter.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports the 26-year-old will move to the San Siro on an initial season-long loan, with the Nerazzurri retaining the option to sign him permanently at the end of next season.
The Milan giants are expected to pay a fee of €8m for the loan part of the agreement, with a further €18m due if they choose to sign the player outright.
Vrsaljko played a leading role in Croatia’s march to the World Cup final this summer, whilst he also helped Atleti win the Europa League at the end of last season, when they beat Marseille in the final.
Reports in Italy believe the deal has already been agreed in principle and is close to completion, meaning a return to Serie A for Vrsaljko after his spell with Sassuolo before moving to the Spanish capital.
