Leganes confirm Diego Rolan signing

Leganes have confirmed the signing of striker Diego Rolan from Deportivo la Coruna on a season-long loan.

The 25-year-old only joined Depor last week from Bordeaux and was immediately loaned out to the Madrid club.

Rolan spent the whole of last season on loan at Malaga, where he netted five goals in an injury-hit season despite being injured for over two months.

According to sources consulted by AS, Leganes will pay almost all the player’s salary, which is thought to be around €1m-a-year, and will also pay Depor close to €1m for the loan deal.

In addition, the Madrid outfit will retain an option to buy Rolan, which could amount to €6m, although neither club has made any of these amounts public.

The Uruguay international spent five years with Bordeaux since joining from Defensor Sporting in 2013, scoring 33 goals in 121 outings.
