Valencia want Batshuayi loan deal

Valencia are understood to have sounded out Chelsea about a loan deal for striker Michy Batshuayi.

Los Che have their eyes on Atletico Madrid’s Kevin Gameiro but are keeping their options open in case that deal falls through, and Batshuayi tops their list of possible alternatives, according to COPE.

The Belgium international, 24, was signed from Marseille for a reported €40m in April 2016 and made 32 league appearances for the London club.

However, he was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund in January this year, where he netted seven times in 10 outings, and Valencia would like a similar arrangement for the 2018-19 campaign.

Boss Marcelino is still searching for new faces to bolster his squad at Mestalla, particularly in attack, as there could be some lucrative offers for both Simone Zaza and Rodrigo Moreno before the close of the transfer window.

Moreno is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe and various media outlets report that Valencia are fearful that if a bid comes in from one of the continents big clubs then they will lose him, given that there has already been reported interest from Bayern Munich.
