Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes is reportedly desperate for Tottenham Hotspur to rekindle their interest.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham are Gomes’ ideal destination’ as he considers them ‘perfect’ for his style of play and believes he could recover his best form under Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs were heavily linked with the Portuguese at the end of last summer, but he ultimately stayed at Camp Nou, winning a Liga and Copa double.
The newspaper explains the 24-year-old even changed agents, from Jorge Mendes to Englishman Paul Martin, with the intention of signing for a Premier League club.
However, the Catalans – as willing as they are to move him on – would be looking to recoup a fair portion of the 37m they paid Valencia in 2016.
