Real Madrid have extended the contract of highly-rated midfielder Oscar Rodriguez until the summer of 2023, it has been confirmed.
The 20-year-old had been linked with various clubs including Monaco, Bayern Munich and Manchester City – who had reportedly lodged an offer.
Rodriguez was the previous captain of Madrid’s Juvenil A side and was a three-time champion during his time there, while he thrived for the Castilla team this season.
It was also confirmed that the player will now be represented by Rene Ramos – brother of Madrid captain Sergio – and a loan deal to Rayo Vallecano has been suggested in press reports.
