Sevilla-target Seri joining Fulham

Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri and reported Sevilla target Jean Michael Seri is set to sign for Fulham this week, according to reports.

Earlier this week, Estadio Deportivo stated the Ivory Coast international is top of the club’s wish list in the position and would be willing to pay €30m for his services.

The move for the 26-year-old is said to be driven by Director of Football Joaquin Caparros despite interest from English clubs Fulham and their West London rivals Chelsea.

Interest in the central midfielder was said to be fuelled by the expectation that Steven N’Zonzi would depart the Andalusian club this summer.

However, various reports including in Nice-Matin and Sky Sport Italia have stated that Seri will now move to Craven Cottage.

Los Rojiblancos have already tied up deals for midfielders Roque Mesa and Ibrahim Amadou along with Czech goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik.

N’Zonzi has a €40m release clause at the club and is said to have interested Arsenal and Juventus in recent times.
