‘Gameiro to Valencia, Kalinic to Atleti’

Valencia have reportedly agreed a €17m deal for Kevin Gameiro, but it will not be announced until Nikola Kalinic is certain to replace him at Atletico Madrid.

According to Marca, Valencia will pay €14m up front for Gameiro, with €3m to follow in the way of bonuses.

However, the newspaper warns his move will not be formalised until Atleti line up a replacement.

That appears to be Kalinic as the publication claims ‘everything points towards’ the Milan striker.

The 30-year-old scored 49 goals in four seasons with Dnipro, helping the Ukrainians reach the Europa League Final in 2015, where they lost to Sevilla.

He then spent two seasons with Fiorentina, netting 33 times in 84 appearances, before signing for Milan on loan with a €25m compulsory option.

His lone campaign was one to forget as he registered just six goals for the Rossoneri, while it ended with him being sent home from Croatia’s World Cup squad.
