Real Betis have confirmed the sale of midfielder Fabian Ruiz to Napoli after receiving his €30m release clause.
The Spain Under-21 international is joining the Naples-based club in a €30m deal on a five-year contract, worth a reported €2.5m per annum with no release clause.
“I can confirm that I am joining Napoli, but I do not know when it will be made official,” Fabian told the Italian press in June, as cited by Sevilla Info.
Fabian renewed his contract at Los Verdiblancos until 2023 in January, reportedly hiking his release clause from a lowly €12m to a fee of €30m.
The Betis youth product netted three goals in 34 Liga appearances this season as the club secured a top six finish and a return to European football.
Fabian follows Riza Durmisi, German Pezzella, Antonio Adan and Dani Gimenez out of the club this summer.
