Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz should be announced as a new Napoli player today after passing a medical with the Italian club.
The Spain Under-21 international is expected to join the Naples-based club in a €30m deal on a five-year contract, worth a reported €2.5m per annum with no release clause.
Sky Sport Italia and Premium Sport’s Raffaele Auriemma both report the Neapolitans will complete the signing today as the player will put pen to paper on the move.
“I can confirm that I am joining Napoli, but I do not know when it will be made official,” Fabian told the Italian press in June, as cited by Sevilla Info.
Fabian renewed his contract at Los Verdiblancos until 2023 in January, reportedly hiking his release clause from a lowly €12m to a fee in excess of €30m.
The Betis youth product netted three goals in 34 Liga appearances this season as the club secured a top six finish and a return to European football.
