Arsenal are leading the race to sign out-of-favour Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes this summer, according to reports.
The 24-year-old has failed to impress at the Camp Nou across two seasons and ESPN FC say new Gunners boss Unai Emery is pushing for his transfer.
Last week, El Mundo Deportivo reported the Blaugrana are open to a relatively cheap departure in the region of €22m despite having spent an initial €35m to sign the midfielder from Los Che in the summer of 2016.
The former Benfica man has admitted to ‘going through a bit of a hell’ at the club due to his poor form and the volume of scrutiny he was under.
Diario Sport have also reported a possible loan return to Valencia but the preference of Barca is to sell him to a non-Spanish club.
Last season, Gomes made just six La Liga starts and failed to make the cut for the Portugal World Cup squad.
