Barca eye move for Antonio Adan

Barcelona are considering a move for Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan, according to reports in the Spanish press.

Adan, 31, has been the first-choice at the Seville-based club since joining from Cagliari in 2014 but looks set to exit this summer.

The Spaniard is out of contract at Los Verdiblancos next summer and a proposed €3m move to Sporting CP broke down at the eleventh hour.

Getafe have reportedly lodged an offer of €1.5m but Betis have rejected this offer, believing his value is closer to double that amount.

Diario AS report the shot-stopper has now been lined up by the Catalan giants in the event that Jasper Cillesen, number two to Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, leaves the club.

Last week, ABC de Sevilla cited a report in Sevilla Info that Adan would provide competition for Jan Oblak at Atletico Madrid, who had also registered an interest.

Betis are said to have agreed a deal for out-of-contract Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez, who would become first-choice with Quique Setien’s side, who will compete in the Europa League next season while West Ham's Adrian has also been linked.
