Barca’s Vidal linked to Italy

Out-of-favour Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal has emerged as a transfer target for Italian giants Inter and Roma, according to reports.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs this month, including a return to Sevilla and a potential move to Valencia, who will compete in next season’s Champions League.

Sky Sport Italia report Vidal’s agent visited Milan, when he was thought to hold talks with Nerzzurri officials while Gazzamercato say the talks instead were to be with Roma.

The Rome giants are said to be fearful of Alessandro Florenzi reparting this summer with sporting director Monchi, who signed the wing-back from Almeria for Sevilla, keen on the Barca man.

Vidal joined the Catalan giants from Los Rojiblancos in the summer of 2015 for €17m but is surplus to requirements at Barca, having appeared for more than 45 minutes just six times last season.
