Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio has avoided speculation on his future after media reports linked him with a move to Liverpool.
The 22-year-old is currently representing Spain in this summer’s World Cup, with reports in the Spanish press stating Madrid would not consider a sale below €180m.
“Obviously this is something in the media, but I will not speak about it now,” Asensio is cited as saying by Diario AS.
“When the World Cup is over, then it will be time to talk about these things, about my own future.
“Right now I am totally focused on performing well in the World Cup with the national team, and not club football.”
Asensio’s current deal at the Bernabeu runs through until 2023 and contains a reported €700m release clause.
The winger joined Madrid from Real Mallorca for €3m in 2014.
