Valencia want Torino’s Falque

Valencia are interested in a summer deal for Torino’s Spanish forward Iago Falque, according to reports in the Spanish press.

A report in Valencia-based Plaza Deportiva states the 28-year-old was also on Los Che’s radar last summer but a deal did not go through due to loan moves for Goncalo Guedes and Andreas Pereira.

Both of those players have now left the Mestalla – although there is still hope of a deal for Guedes from Paris Saint-Germain – which now reopens the door for the Torino forward.

The Vigo-native had a very impressive campaign, scoring 14 goals with 10 assists in 40 competitive games for the Granata.

Torino are said to want in the region of €15m for the former Tottenham, Genoa and Roma player but Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral will have the final say on any deal.

Falque has previously played in Spain across loan spells at Villarreal B, Rayo Vallecano and Almeria.
