Sacked Spain Coach Julen Lopetegui will not make any comments to the media until he returns to the nation, say reports in Spain.
A report in Madrid-based newspaper El Mundo states the 51-year-old is expected to leave Russia immediately after his dismissal on Wednesday morning.
On Tuesday it was announced that the former FC Porto boss would replace Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid but within 24 hours, he was sacked by the national team on the eve of the World Cup.
Lopetegui had been expected to appear alongside Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales during Wednesday morning’s press conference, but he was not present.
