It would be a ‘privilege’ for Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi to play for Napoli, but he has no intentions of leaving the Bernabeu.
The Moroccan international’s agent Alejandro Camano was speaking in relation to the links of the Naples-based club wanting the teenager to provide competition for Elseid Hysaj.
“Right now the problem is the Coach,” Camano explained to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“We need to understand what the future Coach’s intentions are. When we know that we can talk about players, about loans and sales.
“Hakimi has a long contract with Real Madrid, it’s not expiring. He signed for five years last year and he’s very much in Real’s plans.
“Napoli are a great team, it would be a privilege for Achraf to wear the blue shirt but I haven’t heard from [sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli.”
Hakimi acted as a back-up to Dani Carvajal at Real Madrid, but Nacho Fernandez – a natural central defender – was often preferred as cover.
