Real Madrid are closing in on a deal for Santos starlet Rodrygo Goes and a deal could be announced this week, say reports in the Spanish press.
The Brazilian, an Under-17 international, has previously been linked with a move to Barcelona after a breakthrough season in his native league, where he has netted nine times in 29 appearances.
Last week, a report in Marca cites Globoesporte states that Madrid have reached an agreement in the region of €45m.
Diario AS now say a deal could be complete as earlier this week for the 17-year-old, despite no Coach being in place at Madrid since Zinedine Zidane’s departure.
“I do not have a preference between one club and another, they are two giants, my head is only in Santos,” said Rodrygo earlier this month.
Barcelona had reportedly offered just €15m for the teenager’s services but he could complete an arrangement with Madrid which could take him to the European champions next summer.
