Barcelona are expected to formalise Gerard Deulofeu’s sale to Watford this week for a reported €13m.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the deal suits all parties concerned and will be confirmed on Monday or Tuesday.
The newspaper explains Watford ‘moved very quickly’ to turn Deulofeu’s loan into a permanent transfer, while staying with the Premier League side was the winger’s ‘priority’.
Barca honoured their buyback option for the 24-year-old after a successful second half to the 2016-17 campaign with Milan and was elevated after Neymar’s world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain.
However, he scored just twice in 17 appearances for the Catalans and was farmed out to Watford, managed by former Malaga boss Javi Gracia, in January.
