Real Madrid have moved ahead of Barcelona in the pursuit of Santos starlet Rodrygo Goes and are on the verge of completing a deal, say reports.
The Brazilian, an Under-17 international, has been linked with a move to the Camp Nou after a breakthrough season in his native league, where he has netted nine times in 29 appearances.
However, a report in Marca cites Globoesporte states that Madrid have reached an agreement in the region of €45m.
“I do not have a preference between one club and another, they are two giants, my head is only in Santos,” said Rodrygo on Wednesday.
Barcelona had reportedly offered just €15m for the teenager’s services and he could complete an arrangement with Madrid which could take him to the European champions next summer.
