Barcelona have identified Getafe sporting director Ramon Planes as the main candidate to assume the role at the Camp Nou, say reports in Spain.
Planes has previously held the position at CE L'Hospitalet, Racing Santander, Alaves, Lleida, Espanyol, Elche and a stint with Tottenham in England.
A report in Catalan media outlet RAC1 outlines how the 51-year-old is now favourite to switch to Barca after spending just one year at Getafe, for whom he enjoyed success.
