Quique Setien admits he would ‘like to have’ Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez at Real Betis, while a return for Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos is his ‘desire’.
The Betis Coach is keen to bolster his squad ahead of next season and Europa League football, with deals for Pau Lopez, Takashi Inui and Sergio Canales all reportedly agreed.
“I would like to have Denis Suarez at Betis,” Setien told Onda Cero.
“Lorenzo Serra Ferra (the Betis sporting director) knows what my preferences are and which players I am a fan of, but we are talking about players on good money, on stable contracts.
“We hope we can be in a position to compete for these players, but it is very difficult for various factors, to get these signings right.
“Ceballos? There are many things to consider with Dani too, it could not be easy but his talent is obvious and that would be my desire.
“Betis do not have a big bag of money like other clubs but we will try to get our signings right.”
