Luca Zidane admits his Real Madrid debut against Villarreal ‘gives me a bittersweet taste’ but insists ‘when I play, I’m Luca, not Zidane’.
“My debut? It gives me a bittersweet taste,” the goalkeeper said after Saturday’s 2-2 draw, which saw him gift Los Amarillos the equaliser.
“It makes me proud to have debuted with the best team in the world, but the draw makes me feel a bit bittersweet.
“How he has seen the goals conceded: "We will have to see it repeated, I tried to do my best".
“When I learned I’d make my debut? [Zinedine] told me the day before and that I should enjoy the moment. It’s a source of pride for me to play with the best players in the world.
“What my teammates told me? To enjoy the moment. Pressure of my surname? When I play, I’m Luca, not Zidane.”
