Antoine Griezmann says ‘hopefully there’ll be more’ silverware coming his way after firing Atletico Madrid to Europa League glory.
Griezmann lifted his second trophy with Atleti on Wednesday, scoring twice in their 3-0 victory over Olympique Marseille after being heavily linked with a summer switch to Barcelona.
“I left home at 14 years of age because I wanted to win cups,” the forward told BeIN Sports after the game.
“This is my second, with the Supercopa, and hopefully there’ll be more. The Final? [Marseille] are an attacking team, they worked very well.
“However, we played our own game, defending well, showing grit and taking advantage of their mistake.
“My performance? Confident and cold-blooded.”
