Lionel Messi has been left out of Barcelona’s squad for their trip to Levante in La Liga on Sunday.
Barca’s official website explained Messi was not travelling with Aleix Vidal ‘due to Coach’s decision’.
It comes despite the No 10 still having the European Golden Shoe to play for, although he leads the scoring charts on 34 goals, three more than nearest challenger Mohamed Salah.
Elsewhere, Samuel Umtiti is out with ‘knee discomfort’ and Sergi Roberto is suspended after his red card against Real Madrid last weekend.
