On-loan Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan has been hit with a 16-game ban whilst playing for Istanbul Basaksehir.
Turan went back to his native country during the winter transfer window and was playing against Sivasspor, who equalised in stoppage time of last week’s 1-1 draw.
The Turkey international was so incensed that he pushed a linesman and is also alleged to have used bad language towards him.
The Turkish FA have now banned the player for 10 matches for pushing the official, three matches for insulting him and another three for threatening behaviour, while he has also been fined.
