Barcelona will not officially complete the signing of Atletico Madrid’s Arda Turan until they have elected a President, it is reported.
A deal between the two clubs for the Turkish attacking midfielder appears all but done, with a €35m fee said to have been agreed.
However, Diario Sport say that now that the deal is all but secure, there will be no rush to finalise the 28-year-old’s contract with the Catalan giants.
With the Camp Nou presidential election set to take place on 18 July, it is said that one of the new President’s first jobs will be to officially tie up the deal.
In any case, with Barca under a transfer embargo, Turan will not be able to make his debut until January 2016, when the sanction is lifted.
