Neymar’s father paves PSG exit

Neymar’s father has met with super-agent Pini Zahavi in a bid to force his son’s exit from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to French media outlet Liberation, Neymar Sr. flew to Paris on April 24 to meet Zahavi as the player has made it clear he wants to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid, where moves are taking place to make it happen.

A person close to Neymar told Liberation the aim of the meeting was to ask Zahavi to get him a new team this summer.

“He asked him to open the door to Europe’s biggest clubs,” the source is quoted as saying, with the Spanish capital being the obvious destination.

It is understood the Brazilian star does not want to go to England, the only other place that could realistically afford his reported €260m transfer fee, while Bayern Munich have never considered signing him, and it would be impossible to return to Barcelona right now.

Meanwhile, PSG insist Neymar is going nowhere and remain adamant he is not for sale, believing the rumours have been put about by people who stand to gain a lot of money from the operation.

Marca quotes a source from the Ligue 1 club as saying, “there is no fixed price because Neymar is not on the market, it’s ridiculous and the chances of reaching an agreement with a club is zero”.
